Accessibility statement
iri is a neighbourhood network for everyone, including people with disabilities. We work to make the website usable with a keyboard, screen readers and other assistive technology, in Hebrew, English and Russian.
Display settings
These settings are saved in this browser and apply on every page. Text size and zoom are set in your browser: press Ctrl/⌘ with + or −.
Darker text and borders, for easier reading.
Marks every link with an underline, not only with colour.
More space between lines, words and letters.
Standard
We aim to meet Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at level AA, as required by the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adaptations) Regulations, 2013.
What we have done
- Every page declares its language and text direction, and the layout mirrors fully in Hebrew.
- The site can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to main content” link at the start of each page.
- Buttons and controls that show only an icon carry a text label for screen readers.
- Animations stop when your device is set to reduce motion.
- The light and dark themes follow your device settings.
- The display settings above: high contrast, underlined links and wider text spacing.
Known limitations
- Posts, listings and photos are written by our users, and we cannot guarantee that everything they share is accessible. Automatic descriptions for photos are planned.
- Some links lead to services we do not control, such as WhatsApp and our terms and privacy documents.
- The site is still being built, and a full accessibility audit has not yet been completed. If you come across a barrier, please tell us.
Contact us about accessibility
If something on the site is hard to use, or you need information in another way, contact us. Please mention the page and the problem, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
